Terms of Service

The terms for using SplitStep.

Last updated June 6, 2026. These terms govern your use of SplitStep websites, accounts, court tools, subscriptions, and partner features.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

  • By accessing or using SplitStep, you agree to these Terms of Service and the SplitStep Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
  • You must be able to form a binding agreement to use SplitStep. If you use SplitStep on behalf of a minor, team, club, school, or business, you are responsible for that use and for making sure it complies with these terms.

2. Safe use of the court tools

  • SplitStep provides reaction-training and movement-practice tools for tennis players. It is not medical advice, physical therapy, professional coaching, or a guarantee of athletic performance.
  • Use the product in a clear, safe space with appropriate footwear and supervision when needed. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, unsafe fatigue, or if your space is not safe for movement.
  • Camera-based features require browser permission and may be affected by lighting, device quality, browser support, and body positioning. Feedback should be treated as training guidance, not a perfect measurement.

3. Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login secure. Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
  • You may not share credentials, impersonate another person, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, scrape non-public data, or use SplitStep for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent activity.

4. Subscriptions and cancellation

  • Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Prices, billing intervals, plan features, taxes, and renewal terms are shown during checkout or on the pricing page.
  • Subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel through the account billing flow when available or by contacting support@splitstep.net; support mailto links include splitstepsupport@gmail.com as a backup address. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, cancellation stops future renewals and paid access continues through the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled case by case unless a refund is required by applicable law. Stripe may separately apply its own payment processing terms.

5. Privacy and camera processing

  • Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and delete information. By using SplitStep, you consent to the data practices described there.
  • MediaPipe camera tracking runs client-side in the browser. SplitStep does not upload camera video, camera frames, or raw hand-tracking landmarks through the training tool.

6. Ownership and feedback

  • SplitStep, including its interface, code, designs, visuals, copy, training flows, trademarks, and related materials, is owned by SplitStep or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may use SplitStep for personal training, coaching, club, or partner use only as permitted by your account and these terms. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or create a competing service from non-public parts of SplitStep.
  • If you send feedback, drill ideas, bug reports, or suggestions, you allow SplitStep to use them without restriction or compensation to improve the product.

7. Providers and external services

  • SplitStep relies on third-party providers including Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, Google OAuth, and MediaPipe-related resources. Your use of connected services may also be subject to their terms.
  • We are not responsible for third-party websites, payment processors, identity providers, infrastructure outages, or browser and device behavior outside our reasonable control.

8. Disclaimers and liability limits

  • SplitStep is provided as is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free features, perfect tracking accuracy, specific training results, or compatibility with every device or browser.
  • To the maximum extent allowed by law, SplitStep will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for injuries or losses caused by unsafe training conditions or misuse of the service.

9. Termination and updates

  • We may suspend or terminate access if an account violates these terms, creates security risk, abuses billing or referrals, or uses the service in a way that harms SplitStep or other users.
  • We may update these terms as the product changes. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a new updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
