FAQ

Common questions about training with SplitStep.

Do I need a tennis court?

No. The current training loop is designed for a small safe space at home, in a gym, or beside a court. You are training reaction timing and first-step quality, not full-court coverage.

Is this a replacement for live tennis?

No. Live hitting still matters. SplitStep is meant to isolate the timing window so players can get more clean reaction reps between practices.

What is free and what is paid?

The free plan keeps practice accessible. Paid plans unlock the broader set of surfaces, scenes, lighting presets, speed ranges, direction ranges, and feed intervals.

Where do reports live?

The report area is under the account section. It is the right place for future session summaries, bug intake, and coach-facing notes as that surface gets expanded.

What do I need to get started?

A screen the player can see clearly, a few feet of safe space to move, and a stable internet connection. Most users run it on a laptop, tablet, or TV positioned at eye level.

Who is SplitStep designed for?

Players from junior beginners through competitive adults, plus coaches running supplemental drills. The drill difficulty scales through speed, direction range, and feed interval so the same scene fits many levels.

How long should a session be?

Short and sharp. Most players get the most value from focused blocks of five to ten minutes, stopping before split-step timing degrades. Quality of reps matters more than total volume.

Can I cancel or change my plan?

Yes. Plans can be changed or cancelled from the account area at any time, and access remains active through the end of the current billing period.

Can coaches use one account for multiple players?

A single paid account can be used to run sessions for different players on the same device. Dedicated multi-seat coaching tools are on the roadmap and tracked through support requests.
